Alamo® Titan, Cream - Sold

Alamo are better known for their amps and their '60s tube combos are still great finds. But they also made a limited number of guitars and basses. This is a very rare, long-scale, single-pickup bass in a now aged cream finish. It has a unique western-motif pickguard that has been cutout in places. (We can't be sure this is a western style, it could be anything really, but the company was from San Antonio in Texas, so it seems like a good guess.) It has a bolt on neck with dot-inlaid rosewood fingerboard. There is no certain way of dating this bass but we are fairly sure that it is from around the early to mid-sixties.

The neck is wide, wider than a Precision bass at the neck, but still quite comfortable. [How does it sound?]
