Alamo® Dart 2573 - Sold

This is a simple little vintage amp that packs a punch. The Model 2573 Dart Tremolo was manufactured in this style between 1967 and 1970. It was originally priced at just $79.95, it has12 watts peak power (4 watts RMS) with one 8" speaker, three inputs, and volume, tone and tremolo controls. The tube complement is: one 12AU6, one 35C5, one 35W4 and one 12AV6. The picture shows a Gibson sticker on the speaker. It is possibly a replacement Gibson speaker but we think it is more likely to be the original speaker with a replacement sticker (unless Alamo used Gibson speakers in some of their amps).

This one was quite a suprise for us. It certainly doesn't get very loud but, with the volume full up this amp screams in the best possible way. At these volumes the speaker is plenty big enough. For recording or home use you can get stunning tube distortion tones at very reasonable volumes. And it is a vintage piece.
