Here is another neat little '60s tube amp. It is just about as simple as you can get: it has three tubes, a 12AU6 premap, a 50L6 power tube and a 35Z5 rectifier, two inputs, one volume and one tone control. The 50L6 is a lower-power version of the 6L6 and so there is just 2-3 watts on hand here. But a great 2-3 watts it is. As soon as you get up to any volume at all you get some classic tube crunch; this amp is never really clean unless you turn it right down. At full volume it is seriously creamy.

The amp has just been serviced; it has been modified with a three-prong plug and it has a replacement Jensen 10" speaker. This is a hand wired point-to-point tube amp that will work very well at home or in the studio and you can get if for way less money than any new amp of this class.
